Matt Rees is a musician, songwriter, husband, and father based in Metro Detroit. His songs reflect his passion for scripture and his personal encounters with the cross of Christ.
A frequent collaborator and co-writer, Matt plays and writes for longtime friend Grande Baliad and MDCC Worship, and has recently joined the independent songwriters of Lake City Lights.
His musical tastes range from folk to soul to alt rock, self-described as "motown emo" with a strong Christian worship focus.
In 2024, Matt released his first solo project, Redeemer EP, with producer Jacob Rye (Ghost Kingdoms, Lo Cloud). His latest singles, Chariots and Driving, dropped in Spring 2025.
